How the hint system works

An explanation of what each color, arrow, and comparison card is trying to tell you during a round.

Colors show certainty

Green means the compared field matches the hidden country. Amber means the guess is directionally close. Gray means the clue is not close enough to be useful on its own.

These states are intentionally simple. The game is designed around readable comparisons, not around exposing exact thresholds for every variable.

Arrows show direction

For numeric fields, an up arrow means the target value is higher. A down arrow means the target value is lower. The direction applies to the hidden answer, not to the country you already entered.

  • Budget compares total defense spending
  • Active compares active-duty personnel
  • Distance compares capital-to-capital distance
  • GFP rank is inverted so a lower rank number is stronger

Expandable cards add context

Some cards reveal a short list of related systems when you hover or open them. Those details are there to help you reason about equipment families, supplier overlap, and broad capability patterns.

The extra lists are supporting clues. They should help you interpret the numbers rather than replace them.
